Travel for Health
Travel for health can mean several different things.
To me, it means doing something fun (travelling) to take a break from everyday stress.
Some people don't like to travel and have no desire to do so.
Others love to travel, would like to as a full time job, and will really relate to what this page is about.
Sometimes it's refreshing to get in the car for a day-trip, just to get out of town and see different surroundings.
Other times it's exciting to look forward to and plan an upcoming long trip - across the country or overseas.
Both of these give us a sense of adventure and freedom.
Benefits of Travelling for Better Health
- seeing friends and family
- getting away from day-to-day stresses
- having new surroundings to enjoy
- meeting new people
- learning about other cultures
- exploring new cities & places
- trying new cuisines
- gaining a fresh perspective on life
- learning about people in other places
- getting exercise from hiking, biking, swimming, walking, etc
After a trip, whether it's a short day-trip or a month-long vacation around the world, many people report a feeling of renewal.
It is also reported that stress levels are lower, life perspective is more positive and there is an increase in energy and optimism.
Since stress can account for the cause of up to 90% of all diseases, anything we can do to lower our stress level is beneficial to our health.
This website is about the numerous natural ways we can live a long, healthy life.
If that means taking time out for ourselves and doing some travelling, let's do it!
